Tea time at Samovar

Samovar Tea Lounge is a small chain of three teahouses in San Francisco -- their vision: "to change the world one cup of tea at a time." They house an impressive array of loose teas and complementary cuisine from around the world, paying particular care to traditional presentation and experience.

My sister and I split the English service and tart peach tea on our most recent visit to Yerba Buena Gardens.  We shared smoked salmon quiche and a cherry oat scone with Devonshire cream and jam, finished with fresh strawberries, orange, and nectarines.  Portions were modest but filling, and everything was sincerely delicious.

We were also treated to a Gangnam style flash mob, outside on the terrace.  It's the little things.
